Frequently Asked Questions
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of a tattoo. This is a manual technique of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing that creates a natural look. Shape of the eyebrows formed according face features.
In Microblading an artist uses a special hand tool to create fine cuts on the skin to deposit pigment. It designs hair-like strokes and gives the appearance of natural eyebrows' hair. Microblading is perfect choice to define, reshape, or fill in the areas where hairs are missing.
What is the difference between Microblading and Tattooing?
There are two main differences between Microblading and Tattooing. First one is the depth of the procedure; the proper depth of Microblading is upper layers of the dermis, while tattooing is applied deeper into the skin. Second is the pigment; in Microblading used a specialized pigment that fades away into a lighter version of the color, when Tattoo ink may alter into unnatural shades.
Is Microblading considered tattooing?
By this definition, Microblading, any semi-permanent or permanent cosmetic, is a tattoo. An artist is placing pigment into the skin.
However, there are some out there who are promoting Microblading as a 'non-tattooing' alternative for eyebrows. This is simply not true.
